I am a multi-platform journalist and producer with a passion for broadcast and social media storytelling.

Since 2024, I've been working in BBC local radio in the East Midlands, starting out as a Journalism Co-ordinator on the BBC Leicester breakfast show. Since then, I've worked in a variety of producer roles and more recently as a Social Media Journalist.

I am currently looking for more freelance opportunities to expand my experiences within social media editing and broadcast journalism. I'm East Midlands based, but open to moving and working in other regions.

Absolutely the hottest topic for the people of Nottinghamshire at the time. This video ended up being the subject of an argument at a protest between Mick Barton and Conservative councillor Sam Smith, which we also were able to capture. This promise will also be something we will be able to revisit later on if not fulfilled so this makes a good example of holding to account.

Everyone seems to have an opinion on flags, especially Nottinghamshire County Council's £75,000 project. This post performed really well with 16-24 year old men, which remains a real target area of the BBC.

This one massively over performed with 16-24 year olds - the BBC's lightest users, and is a great example of social-first content, specifically targeting demographics that don't always naturally use the BBC.

Heated Rivalry was at the top of Google Trends at the time, due to the popular ice hockey romance TV series/book gaining traction, and so I thought it was a nice tie in.

'Trinket Trade' box missing from park

Originally, this video was planned as part of a wider explainer piece about why Gen Z are so into their trinkets, breaking down this new trade box phenomenon. However, before the accompanying article for that piece was written, the box was sadly taken away from the park. I recycled the footage I originally gathered to react quickly to the changing story.
